Sunshine, laughter & friends

Hi, friends!

How was your weekend? Ours was near perfection.

You really can’t beat amazing get-togethers with wonderful friends. It’s fun and funny to have little ones added into the mix now too~ there was not a dull moment around here, that’s for sure! And we all loved the chaos.

There’s a special kind of joy when you realize that your children are hitting it off with your friend’s children as well. It was a hilarious, rowdy, joy-filled visit, and we’re so appreciative that our friends all made the trip up here for our mini reunion. You guys are the best!

As if there was room for the weekend to get even more awesome, the weather on Sunday was super fab.

Sunny & 60+ degrees in early March? Yes, please! Just last week we were playing in the snow, but it appears that spring is headed our way. There are even rumors of 70 degree temps headed our way later on this week. To say we’re doing the happy dance over here is a serious understatement!

Sunday’s delightful weather called for a trip to the park. We hit all of the highlights, including the swings. Little O was so-so about them:

But Baby H? She had the best.time.ever. She wouldn’t stop grinning!

When it was time for the slide, it was Little O’s turn to smile.

Baby H & the Hubs had fun cheering on Little O…

and then decided to try the slide for themselves.

So fun!

Of course, a trip to the park wouldn’t be complete without feeding the ducks.

While the Hubs & Baby H went over to round up a few ducks for us,

Little O decided it was snack time.

Good thing we still had plenty left for the ducks!

It was so much fun to be out in the sunshine. The Hubs had an awesome time with his sweet girls, and I did too. I’m getting pretty excited for a spring & summer full of playing outside!

It was a perfect ending to a pretty darn perfect weekend. Lots of sunshine, laughter and friends~ what could be better?

Counting My Kisses: Heading to bed after a weekend like this one is so glorious~ the kids are exhausted from playing with their new friends & all of the fresh air, and the Hubs & I are feeling beyond blessed for the abundance of love in our lives. So thankful for such a great weekend~ I hope yours was equally wonderful as well!

  1. Looks like a wonderful day at the park! Little O and Baby H are looking more like each other every day! They are too cute! Glad you guys got to enjoy the sunshine!

  2. OK, I know you don’t live here anymore, but that hat the Hubs is wearing is like seeing him in something navy blue with an X! I’m so glad the weekend was awesome and I’m so bummed only half of my family was able to come play.

    • Erin~ LOL on the hat! I completely understand. 🙂 It was such a great weekend but we really missed you & the little guy. Booooo. Hope he’s on the mend & no one else caught it!! We’ll have to get together again soon so we all can play. 🙂

  3. We had so much fun. We are lucky to have such great friends and kids that will be such great friends. I love this weather and hope it is here to stay.
